These sessions are open to the public. Artists must provide their own materials and may bring an easel if desired. Session is $15 per person, $13 for Nyack Art Collective members.

In a knife skills class, you’ll master essential techniques to elevate your culinary expertise.

You’ll start by learning the proper grip to ensure control and safety, followed by fundamental cutting methods such as slicing, dicing, julienning, mincing, and making citrus supremes for beautifully segmented fruit. 

As a highlight of the class, the vegetables you prepare will be used to create a delicious shared meal. You’ll practice precision cutting to assemble a fresh, vibrant salad, prepare ingredients to complement a perfectly cooked salmon, and expertly slice fruit for a rustic galette.
