Litany Burns is a world-renowned medium, clairvoyant, lecturer, screenwriter, poet and author of Develop Your Psychic Abilities, The Sixth Sense of Children, and Goddess.Com and featured in The 100 Top Psychics & Astrologers In America. Her poetry has been in the International Women’s Year Poetry Anthology and read at New York University, Amnesty International Fundraiser, Hopper House Prison Art Program, Lehman College, and The Nuyorican Poets Café. Having worked on the infamous ‘Son of Sam’ case she has been featured on national and international TV, in Goop.com, magazines/social media and lectured internationally.

Our weekly poets circle, Circle Up, is happening every Thursday night from 6 PM to 7 PM at X House in Nyack. This week, I’m thinking on doing a performance/delivery workshop, but usually we do either writing or editing. If you want weekly emails or texts about that, let me know and I can add you to the proper list. If you can swing it, cost is $5, paid directly to the venue.

What would it feel like to fully savor a poem the way one relishes a delicious meal or the finest of wines? We will share time exploring a small gathering of poems, less for their use of literary devices, but more for their ability to say something truly important in a most startling way. The session will include short writing practices inspired by the poetry, and the curious examination of other works of art created at the time the focus poem had been published.

Starting January 9, 2024, the Nyack Art Collective will sponsor weekly Figure Drawing on Tuesdays, 6:15-9:15 pm at X House Nyack, 48 S. Franklin St., Nyack, @xhousenyack https://www.instagram.com/xhousenyack/
These sessions are open to the public. Artists must provide their own materials and may bring an easel if desired. Session is $15 per person, $13 for Nyack Art Collective members.
