Henry Alford discusses his new book, I Dream of Joni, with Palisades Free Library Trustee Mary Murphy.
The eternal singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell is seen anew, portrayed through a witty and comprehensive exploration of anecdotes, quotes, and lyrics by Henry Alford, “the most graceful of humorists” (Vanity Fair) and a writer for The New Yorker.

Angela Brown is the author of Olivia Strauss is Running Out of Time (Little A, 2024), which was a Zibby Owens Book Club Pick and a Women’s Fiction Pick in Amazon’s First Reads program. Her sophomore novel, Some Other Time, will be published by Little A in February 2025. In addition to her books, Angela’s writing has appeared in the New York Times, Real Simple, Lit Hub, Writer’s Digest, and many other publications. She holds an MFA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Angela lives in New Jersey with her husband and two young children, where she is currently at work on her next novel.
