Where’s Waldo

Waldo will be hiding inside several local businesses, and you have the entire month of July to find him. Searching for Waldo is a fun way to explore and support local businesses in Nyack.

Get your official stamp sheet on July 1 at Big Red Books and start hunting at any one of the participating businesses (they’ll be posted soon).

If you find 10 Waldos, you can return your passport to Big Red Books for a Waldo sticker and a coupon for $1 off Waldo books. If you find 20 Waldos, you’ll get the same plus entry into our prize drawings on August 3! The Waldo hunt concludes at the end of July.

Big Red Books will be hosting a party for all you Waldo hunters on August 3 at 11:30am.

Life Review: The Hospice Musical

It’s a chorus line meets Fiddler on the Roof! A new musical celebrating life, love, and loss through three seasons at a residential hospice.

Welcome to Life Review: The Hospice Musical! Join us for an unforgettable afternoon filled with laughter, tears, and heartwarming moments. This cabaret performance will occur on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 2:00. The doors open at 1:30 pm.

The story follows our young Rabbi David, the new chaplain at the facility. He arrives in autumn, eager and naive, caring but lonely. As he ministers to the patients, Rabbi David learns from his patients even as he cares for them and their loved ones.

In Life Review: The Hospice Musical, each patient sings their story. We hear from a proud mother remembering snow, a brave but scared young man wondering what’s to come, an older man looking for one last friend, and a man of G-d singing praises.

All Ways Writing Circle

The All Ways Writing Circle offers time, space, community, and inspiration to get some writing done. This is for anyone who wants to write—in any genre—and would benefit from dedicated time. Facilitated by Lily Greenberg, participants will be offered a prompt, approximately 45 minutes to write, then a chance to share their work in a warm and supportive group setting. No experience needed, all genres welcome. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Admission is $12.
Participants are encouraged to register on Eventbrite. Walk-ins are also welcome, and can pay at the door by cash, check, or Venmo.
