ABOUT BEN ASEN: A photographer in New York City for over 40 years, Ben specializes in event, corporate, non-profit, editorial, and portrait photography. He is deeply inspired by the city’s architecture, energy, and diversity, capturing its many layers through his lens. “My work is about truly seeing the beauty in the ordinary and the extraordinary in the everyday. I like to think of my photographs as windows, offering a glimpse into a world where light and shadow dance, and where each moment holds the potential for discovery and a cinematic moment.”

David Browne In Conversation With John Barry
David Browne is a senior writer at Rolling Stone, where he has written cover stories on the Grateful Dead, Whitney Houstom, Robin Williams, and Bob Dylan’s Basement Tapes. His latest book, the seeds of which were planted during his years as an NYU student, is Talkin’ Greenwich Village: The Heady Rise and Slow Fall of America’s Bohemian Music Capital, and he is also the author of seven other books, including biographies of the Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Sonic Youth and Jeff Buckley. He lives in Manhattan.
A 25-year-veteran of newsrooms operated by the USA Today Network, John W. Barry’s passion for writing and love of music laid the groundwork for his book, Levon Helm: Rock, Roll & Ramble—The Inside Story of the Man, the Music and the Midnight Ramble. The book’s foreword was written by Ringo Starr.
