At the start of the tour, visitors will receive a commemorative map and red bandanna before exploring six meaningful locations throughout Nyack. At each stop, volunteers, firefighters, and local historians will share personal stories and memories that illuminate their extraordinary lives.
The event begins with sign-in at the Historical Society of the Nyacks Museum at the Depew House, 50 Piermont Avenue, Nyack. The tour is self-guided and is primarily accessible by car. Attendees are encouraged to explore the six locations in the order in which they appear on the map provided. Please spend as much time as you wish at each stop.
The tour runs from 12:00–3:00 PM. Sign-in begins at 11:45am and ends at 1:00pm. Public parking is available at each location; attendees are asked to park only in legal parking spaces.
The event is free, but space is limited. Registration is required and closes Saturday, September 26th at 6:00 PM.

Gather with creativity mentor, coach and guide Kelly Jo Lillian for an evening of ecstatic movement, embodied writing, and dreamwork. We’ll follow what rises from the unseen and give it a way to cross into your creative life. You’ll leave with a new piece of writing, a clearer sense of what you’re ready to release and begin, and a practiced way of meeting what’s forming in the dark. No experience necessary—just a willingness to follow what emerges.
